NEWS: Lunar Harmony of Silver Star additional details revealed

The upcoming PlayStation Portable remake of Lunar: Silver Star Story will include more than just the original story. A new scenario will be included that lets the player assume control over the four legendary heroes (Dyne, Ghaleon, Mel and Lemia) who are trying to free the Goddess Althena from the clutches of an evil wizard plotting the extermination of mankind. Another exclusive feature is the addition of bromides which are well hidden in various spots throughout the game. Bromides double as stat-raising items during battle and special character pictures.

Lunar comes out November 12th in Japan and January 12th here in the states.

NEWS: Capcom's Last Ranker playable at this years Jump Festa

Expect to finally see some more news and media on Capcom's Lank Ranker when the playable demo lands this December 19 at the Jump Festa in Tokyo. Jump Festa is an annual gaming and manga event held by Weekly Shounen Jump publisher Shueisha. Square Enix will also be showing off new title but the line-up has yet to be announced.

NEWS: Capcom reveals new Monster Hunter spin-off for PSP

Capcom, at the Monster Hunter finals event in Tokyo, has confirmed the development of a Monster Hunter spin-off title for the PSP. The game is titled "Monhan Nikki Poka Poka Airu Mura," or "Monster Hunter Diary Poka Poka Airu Village." No further information has been given yet.

Based on the Ikki Tousen anime, Xcross Impact will feature outrageous finishing skills, six new playable characters to make it 22 in total, a new system called “Bakunyu Cross Rumble” (pick two character and switch between them easily, also available for Ad Hoc Mode battle), new original characters and story (take place after the episodes of Ikki Tousen: Great Guardians). The game is set for an April release next year in Japan.

NEWS: Konami announces Shadow of Destiny coming to PSP in 2010

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., announced today that the classic adventure title, Shadow of Destiny, will be making its way to the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system. Originally released on PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, Shadow of Destiny puts players in the role of Eike, a 22-year old man who is about to embark on the most important quest of his life, solving his own murder. Using a special time travel device, players will guide Ike through multiple time eras ranging between the 1500s, to present day, in attempt to find clues to unlocking the mystery behind his death. But remember, what you do in the past will affect the present.

NEWS: Zombie Tycoon mini coming this fall from Frima Studio

Zombie Tycoon is a newly announced PSP mini strategy game that will have players leading zombie squads through ten levels of monster mayhem, solving puzzles and hunting for those who have yet to join the ranks of the undead.

NEWS: Konami's Fairy Tail update

At a press conference Konami announced a few additional details about their upcoming title Fairy Tail. The game is a 3D action game with support for up to 4 players. It will include familiar characters from the anime series. There will be a tag team system to master using multiple characters. Various outfits will be available for character customization.

Fairy Tail is currently slated for a spring 2010 release in Japan.

NEWS: Hideo Kojima is teasing the megaton in Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker

Hideo Kojima says of the new PSP entry in this week's Famitsu, "There's an unannounced system that will surprise you. It will make you want to rush out and buy a PSP."

Taking clues from his latest quotes might lead to an answer to what he is hinting at. At TGS he talked about a future where players would be able to "play a variety of games by simply connecting a computer to a network. If this were to happen, you could take your games with you wherever you went."  More recently Kojima said of Obama's Nobel Peace Prize win, "President Obama, who declared 'A World Without Nuclear Weapons' in Prague, has won the Nobel Peace Prize. Has the era at last started shifting? The start of the Peace Walker plan? I hope that comes to be. 'Peace will not walk to you.' 'You must both walk towards one another.'"

Hopefully he will drop more clues soon as to what this system actually is.
